BIOGRAPHY
Self-taught painter of Italian and Corsican origins, born in 1960, Sandrine Bennati born Longhi, expressed since her young age predispositions for art, as dance, which she practised during several years.
A more marked passion for painting will come gradually.
During her young years, in order to improve her technical skills, she will carry out reproductions of famous artists.
At her beginnings, she will seek at herself, in symbolic painting somewhat mystical.
Then a little later, she will appear in painting abstracted with the artist name of Lysand.
In 1990, one of her canvas is selected for the International Contest of Painting of the Eagle of Nice.
After a diversified career, she will use her sense of color and harmony to exert quite naturally, during twelve years, the trade of decorator, in collaboration with her husband within their architecture and interior decor cabinet.
Her artistic experience, combined with her husband’s control of architecture will enable them to conceive projects on the Riviera in Monaco or in Geneva and in Corsica.
During this period, applications to decor of her passion for painting were numerous:
- watercolors presentation of decor projects,
- skating at the old of furniture,
- painting on pieces and restoration of furniture,
- decorative object creation.
From 1992 to 2000, her canvas will be realized only on order, for particular customers for decor projects.
In 2000, she decided to devote herself entirely to painting, while directing herself towards figurative painting.
