OF PAINTING
I use a oil-base extra fine paint which has an high degree of light resistance.
My oil’s colors are characterized by intense brightness. They preserve their brightness thanks to pure pigments and with the great quality of used oils.
Achievements are done on an average grain canvas of flax. Small canvas can be realized on cotton.
Even on large canvas, I use very fine brushes in marten in order to work on details with a high degree of precision, it is a work without any excess of material.
Backgrounds are obtained by stacking transparent layers of color, known as the washing technic.
Whatever the subject, my priority is to restor the maximum of light and life, by working on shade and light contrasts.
This technique gets busy more particularly to carry out great resemblance on very beautiful portraits.
To work on World’s beauties, the figurative subject is put in contrast with a more abstract environment calling upon various mixed techniques : joining fabric or paper, money or gold sheets, coated with pasted texture or modelling, etc. I work with fine brushes and knives.
My work concerne three main topics:
- life in Provence,
- world’s beauties or travel notebook: exotic landscapes, children or characters portraits, animals,
- portraits on order.
